Singular Objects

In this series of works, I am interested in the question of metamorphosis and the passage of time in matter through the process of dehydration.
By using rice paste and sugar, my intention is to continue exploring fragile materials on which moisture — and dryness — play a role in the continuous modulation or deformation of the object.
From shell to body, or from body to shell, this work invents the timid and gradual formation of imprints across various spaces. Subject to the surrounding atmospheric conditions, the drying material becomes an extension of the room's walls — of our flesh and of all these ever-changing envelopes.

The curves, hollows, and depressions are the result of the flows and states of humidity that pass through the room. Sculpted by the atmosphere, the surface bears the marks of uneven evaporation caused by temperature and moisture variations.
Carrying the imprints of the objects on which they dried, these sculptures suggest a tactile approach where I attempt to capture climatic moment(s).
